Online Store Terms & Conditions

Jewels & Matcha | Last updated: 27 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases of physical products through the Jewels & Matcha online store, including handmade decorative items, jewellery, DIY creative kits, gifts and personalised products.

They are intended to explain how orders, payments, delivery, cancellations and returns are handled. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your purchase.

1. About Jewels & Matcha

Jewels & Matcha is operated by Andrea Arevalo-Zupan, a self-employed business owner (autónoma) established in Spain.

Email: andrea@jewelsandmatcha.com

Business address: Calle Palmito el 7, Urb. Hacienda Guadalupe 14, Maniva 29692

Tax identification number NIE: Y7563652R

Country of establishment: Spain.

These Terms & Conditions apply to online retail purchases only. Workshop bookings and events are governed by our separate Workshop & Booking Terms & Conditions.

2. Products and natural variations

Jewels & Matcha offers carefully curated handmade products, natural shell creations, jewellery and creative kits.

As some products are handmade using natural shells and other natural materials, variations in colour, shape, size, texture, pattern and finish may occur.

These natural characteristics contribute to the individuality of each piece.

Product photographs are provided to illustrate the items. We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs and colours are accurate, although colours may vary depending on your screen and device.

Natural variations do not affect your statutory rights where an item does not conform to its description or the contract.

Please review product descriptions, dimensions, materials and any care instructions before placing an order.

3. Prices, taxes and payment

All prices are displayed in euros (€). Applicable VAT is included where required by law.

Delivery charges and any other charges payable to Jewels & Matcha will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

Orders must be paid for in full using an available payment method at checkout. We will begin processing your order once payment has been successfully received.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing, listing or technical errors. If an error affects an order that has already been accepted, we will contact you to agree an appropriate resolution. We will refund payments for orders cancelled because of an unresolved pricing error.

4. Order acceptance and availability

After placing an order, you will receive an electronic order confirmation.

An order may be declined or cancelled where there is a legitimate reason, including suspected fraudulent activity, an obvious pricing error or unexpected product unavailability.

If we cancel an order after receiving payment, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled order.

If an item becomes unavailable after an order has been accepted, we will contact you to explain the situation and discuss the available options.

5. Shipping and international delivery

We offer delivery to the destinations made available through our online checkout. Delivery restrictions may apply to certain countries, products or shipping methods.

Shipping charges, available delivery options and estimated delivery times will be displayed during checkout or in our Shipping Policy.

Delivery estimates are provided in good faith. Unless a different period is expressly agreed, applicable consumer law may require delivery within 30 calendar days.

We take reasonable care when preparing and packaging orders, particularly fragile shells and handmade decorative items.

International orders and customs charges

For orders shipped outside Spain, additional import duties, customs charges, local taxes or handling fees may apply, depending on the destination country and the shipping arrangement.

Where such charges are payable by the recipient and are not included in the checkout price, they are the customer's responsibility, subject to applicable law and the delivery terms displayed at checkout.

Customers are responsible for checking whether products may be imported into their country and whether any local restrictions apply.

We cannot guarantee that customs authorities will release a shipment by a particular date. However, this does not remove our legal obligations concerning delivery or refunds.

Incorrect addresses and failed delivery

Please check that your name, delivery address, telephone number and email address are correct before placing an order.

If a parcel is returned or delivery fails because of incorrect information supplied by the customer, refusal of delivery or failure to collect a parcel, we will contact you to discuss the next steps.

Where additional delivery or redelivery charges are directly attributable to the customer, we may seek to recover reasonable costs to the extent permitted by law.

We will not automatically treat a failed delivery as a forfeiture of the order payment. Any cancellation or refund will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

Risk of loss or damage remains with us until the goods are received by you or a person designated by you, other than the carrier, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

6. Order cancellation and statutory right of withdrawal

Consumers generally have a statutory right to withdraw from eligible online purchases within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

This right is subject to the exceptions established by applicable law.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, send us a clear statement of your decision within the applicable period using either of the following methods:

Please include your name, order number, and the items you wish to return.

You do not need to create an account or log in to submit a cancellation or withdrawal request.

After notifying us of your withdrawal, you must send the goods back within the applicable legal period, generally 14 calendar days from the date you informed us of your decision.

Return postage

For a change-of-mind return where the customer exercises a statutory right of withdrawal, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, provided we have informed the customer of this obligation before purchase and applicable law permits it.

We will provide return instructions and the appropriate return address when you contact us.

Please do not send returns to an address obtained from an unrelated parcel or shipping label without first confirming the correct return arrangements with us.

Where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise covered by a legal obligation requiring us to pay return costs, we will meet those obligations.

Refunds following withdrawal

We will refund eligible payments in accordance with applicable law.

Where required, this includes the price paid for the returned goods and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option we offered at the time of purchase. We are not required to reimburse additional costs arising from a more expensive delivery option selected by the customer where the law permits this exclusion.

Refunds will generally be made using the original payment method unless another method is agreed that does not impose additional costs on the consumer.

Where permitted by law, we may withhold the refund until we receive the returned goods or receive evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first.

The applicable legal refund deadline will be respected.

Condition and packaging of returned items

Please take reasonable care when handling and packaging items you intend to return. We recommend retaining the original packaging and using secure, protective packaging for fragile shell products.

Where reasonably possible, please return items with their original packaging, accessories and instructions.

However, we will not automatically reject an otherwise valid statutory withdrawal because original packaging is missing.

Where permitted by law, we may seek compensation for a reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

7. Personalised and made-to-order products

Some Jewels & Matcha products may be personalised or made to the customer's specifications.

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised where the applicable legal exception applies.

Examples may include products incorporating a customer's requested name, an individually commissioned design or another clearly personalised feature.

Where an item falls within this exception, we will indicate the relevant restriction clearly on the product page or before the order is placed.

Handmade products are not automatically exempt from withdrawal rights. Standard handmade shells, ready-made jewellery and ordinary DIY kits remain subject to the usual statutory rules unless a specific legal exception applies.

This section does not remove your rights if a personalised product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise fails to conform to the contract.

Please review personalisation details carefully before submitting an order. If we identify an error in the personalisation that we introduced, we will address it in accordance with applicable law.

8. Damaged, faulty or incorrect orders

We take care when making, inspecting and packaging our products.

If your order arrives damaged, contains an incorrect item or has a fault, please contact andrea@jewelsandmatcha.com with your order number and a description of the issue. Photographs can help us assess damage and arrange an appropriate solution.

Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue. This request helps us investigate the problem and does not shorten any statutory deadline.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, the appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund.

Where we are legally responsible for the issue, we will cover the applicable costs, including necessary return or redelivery costs where required.

In Spain, the general legal guarantee for new consumer goods is three years from delivery. Different mandatory rules may apply depending on the destination country, the type of product and the transaction.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any applicable statutory guarantee or consumer remedy.

9. DIY kits and creative materials

Our DIY kits are designed for creative activities. Product-specific instructions, age guidance and safety information should be read before use.

Please use all materials only as directed. Follow any warnings supplied with the product and take appropriate care when handling paints, adhesives, small components and decorative materials.

Keep materials away from young children and pets where appropriate, and supervise children whenever the product instructions or applicable safety guidance require it.

Do not use materials for purposes other than those for which they are intended.

Nothing in this section excludes our obligations concerning product safety, accurate product information or statutory consumer rights.

10. Product care and natural materials

Natural shells and handmade decorative items may be delicate and may require careful handling.

Unless otherwise specified, avoid excessive moisture, dropping, impact, harsh chemicals and other conditions that may damage decorative finishes.

Please follow any product-specific care instructions provided with your purchase.

Damage caused by misuse or accidental damage after delivery will be assessed in accordance with the applicable circumstances and law. This does not exclude remedies for defects or lack of conformity for which we are legally responsible.

11. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the Jewels & Matcha name, logo, website text, product photographs and original creative designs are owned by us or used with permission.

They may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

12. Privacy and personal information

Personal information supplied when placing an order will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

We use relevant information to process orders, arrange delivery, communicate with customers, manage returns and comply with our legal obligations.

Please consult our Privacy Policy for further details about how your information is used and your rights.

13. Customer service and complaints

For questions about an order, delivery, return or product, contact:

Email: andrea@jewelsandmatcha.com

Telephone: +34 604 220 810

Please include your order number where possible so we can assist you efficiently.

We aim to resolve complaints fairly and promptly. Consumers retain their rights to use applicable consumer complaint and dispute-resolution procedures.

14. Applicable law and international customers

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to customers in their country of residence.

Where the law of a customer's country provides mandatory protections that cannot lawfully be excluded by agreement, those protections remain unaffected.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions deprives consumers of rights granted to them under applicable law.

15. Changes to these Terms & Conditions

We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in our business, products or legal obligations.

The terms applicable to a particular order will generally be the version in force when the order was placed, subject to any mandatory legal requirements.
